Town & Country Fireplaces is a division of Pacific Energy Fireplace Products, a company founded in 1978 on Vancouver Island and located in Duncan, BC. Since its inception, the company has been a leader in the hearth industry, Our experience, coupled with its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, means we can provide a level of product quality and customer support unsurpassed in the industry.

Town & Country’s “clean-face” realistic looking gas fireplaces were launched in 2003, and immediately revolutionized the industry by disproving the long-held belief that a gas fireplace could ever mimic a real wood fire. It eliminated the mechanical facings and louvers that obscured the hearth, and added huge, life-like flames that successfully emulate the look of a wood-burning fire.

From one fireplace that redefined consumer expectations, we have now expanded our Design-A-Fire concept to include 8 different fireplace models, 9 different fires with logs, river rock or sparkling glass, and 8 firebox panels (the liners that form the back and sides of inside the fireplace) – all interchangeable, and resulting in over 200 different configurations.

Hand-crafted quality
In this era of mass-production, Town & Country remains a high-quality product made with premium materials and skilled craftsmanship.

Town & Country luxury fireplaces are hand-crafted from heavy 12-guage aluminized steel, offering superior heat dispersion, eliminating any “ticks” or “bangs.” Our fireboxes are continuous-seam welded, and are up to 58% heavier than other clean-face fireplaces. The result is quieter operation and safer, gas-tight joints for more durable performance.

Our detailed logs and panels are designed, carved and molded in-house, fired in the Town & Country kiln, and hand-painted on-site. Rich, reflective porcelain panels and burners are designed and enameled at Town & Country’s in-house enameling facility. In fact, our porcelain process is recognized by the Porcelain Enamel Institute of North America.

The original clean-face. We created the fireplace that created the clean-face category, with no louvers or other clutter to compete with the look of the room.

The most flexible venting options available, to allow every fireplace to go in the perfect spot in any space without competing with beams, architectural features or open spaces.

The first Clean Face power vent termination, which fits within a 14 3/8” x 14 3/8” wall opening and sits flush with the outside wall. It can be painted any colour to match the house exterior, completely blending in with the wall and becoming almost invisible.

The only fireplace with All Season Comfort™ – purpose-designed to offer comfortable heat without overheating a room, because we know our clients don’t need another furnace.

Design-A-Fire customizable options: including 8 different models, 9 different choices of fire burners and logs, 8 firebox panel styles and a variety of andirons and fire screens – giving customers the ability to create over 200 distinctive combinations.

A safe, unobstructed ceramic glass face which will not crack or break under high internal temperatures.

At Town & Country Luxury Fireplaces, we understand the needs of the high-end design market. Architects and custom builders told us they wanted fireplace venting that could work around open spaces, structural beams and other unique features – so we made sure it could.

Thanks to this unmatched venting versatility, Town & Country fireplaces can be located almost anywhere within a building envelope – even up to 110’ from an outside wall. We’ve also been able to accommodate extreme climates and hard-to-reach elevations by using optional specialized stainless steel terminals.

And because we know that careful planning is of the utmost importance in the creation of a signature home, we provide fireplace layout planning and technical installation consultation specifically for architects through our Architect Resource Centre, available by email and toll-free number. We also provide architect specifications, architect handbooks, CAD drawings and presentation images to specifically serve design professionals.
